How does BetterHelp work?

When you first visit the site’s landing page, you’ll choose whether you’re looking for individual, couple, or teen therapy. From there, you’ll be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire with questions on the following:

  • Your general demographic information
  • Your employment status
  • Your current physical health
  • Any symptoms of depression you’ve experienced recently (such as loss of interest in activities, diminished energy, and trouble concentrating) and how severe these symptoms have been

In addition, remember that your therapist won’t be physically present with you, so they can’t intervene in the event of a crisis.
